The Charity always appreciates the messages of thanks received from undergraduate and graduate recipients of Lord Crewe Bursaries and Scholarships, many of which describe inspirational academic journeys.

Nathaniel, Lord Crewe was Bishop of Durham when he died in 1721, which at that time included all the lands now in Newcastle Diocese as well as Durham Diocese.

The Bridge Project has been established by Durham Diocese to deliver outcomes under their Challenging Poverty missionary priorities, supporting clergy to raise awareness of the issues of poverty, develop sustainable responses to immediate need, and build capacity to contribute effectively to the reform of unjust structures in society.
