The Bridge Project has been established by Durham Diocese to deliver outcomes under their Challenging Poverty missionary priorities, supporting clergy to raise awareness of the issues of poverty, develop sustainable responses to immediate need, and build capacity to contribute effectively to the reform of unjust structures in society.

We are delighted to support diocesan clergy counselling, which is a leading example of such a service enabling clergy and clergy families to access high quality professional support when it is most needed.

St Hild’s Church of England School in Hartlepool is in one of the 10% most deprived parishes in England.  A ‘Vulnerable Learners Lead’ began work in January 2022, giving targeted support to and their families, aiming for high levels of attendance and good standards of behaviour and attitudes to learning.

The vison of the churches in Teesdale and Weardale, Durham Dales Parish Nursing aims be a trusted, local project for people to access consistent mental health support, where they can share and receive understanding around emotional and spiritual needs.
